Fluency attends and supports the annual local Sick Children’s Trust Fundraising Dinner, through sponsorship, raffle prize donations, Fluency donated more than £2,000. At MarineAM 2022, Fluency supported and fundraised for Wet Wheels at the conference dinner, this raised £1,720. Additionally, Fluency has raised over £10,000 YTD for Mind through sporting events, this included our Managing Director, Gemma Smith cycling from London to Paris in May 2022.
Fluency is currently supporting a local charity, raising money to install a memorial for two mining accidents that happened in the area. This has included helping the heritage to get funding, working with local schools to get involved and supporting their awareness building activities in the local area.Our local schools, football clubs, and charities have benefited from the team’s experience with regards to events and organisation – this has also helped with the team’s self-esteem.
Over the past year, we’ve employed two kick start students, two students on work placement, and two work experience students at our events. This has allowed all the students to gain vital work experience and allowed them to network within the industry. For example, one work experience student who attended MotorsportAM, networked with exhibitors and through this opportunity was offered a job at Reactive Components.
The physical and mental welfare of our employees is of the upmost importance to Fluency. Our flexible working policy has allowed employees to balance both their work and private lives, and when needed, take any vital time for their mental and physical health. Our flexible working policy gives employees the opportunity to tailor their work hours and work from home when needed. When in the office, we continue to promote the wellbeing of our employees through office yoga and walks.
