The Middle East has always intrigued me. Over the past decade, I’ve watched its rapid transformation with admiration. Today, Saudi Arabia is not only emerging as one of the world’s most influential business capitals but is also becoming a significant force in the global composites and advanced materials sector.
That was unmistakably clear at the first-ever JEC Composites Talks Middle East, held in Dammam and hosted by OSP. This milestone event, created by JEC Group, brought together industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries from across the region and around the world. It marked more than just a debut. It was a defining moment in the region’s industrial journey.
At Fluency, we believe in the power of connection. That belief is what drives our partnership with JEC Group, and it’s why we were proud to support this event. From opening doors to building partnerships and giving bold ideas the platform they deserve, JEC Composites Talks Middle East delivered on every front.
The energy was palpable. From keynote speeches and technical discussions to site visits and networking sessions, there was a genuine sense of alignment between global expertise and local ambition. Vision 2030 is not just a government initiative but a living, breathing mission gaining momentum, with composites and non-metallic materials at its core.
One of the most powerful aspects of the event was its origin. What began as a simple conversation at JEC World in Paris evolved into a focused and dynamic event in Dammam. The Middle East Talks demonstrated how a shared vision, backed by strategic collaboration and regional momentum, can lead to meaningful outcomes. The success of this inaugural gathering reflects the region’s growing commitment to composites and advanced materials as enablers of sustainable, large-scale industrial development.
Thank you to the organisers, speakers, and host organisations, especially JEC Group, for its continued desire to push our industry forward. Thank you to OSP for its support in making the event possible. Also, thank you to Novel Non-Metallic Solutions, King Salman Energy Park (SPARK), and Mateenbar for the guided tours of their facilities, which showcased the real-world progress being made in the Kingdom. The hospitality was outstanding, the conversations were powerful, and the sense of shared purpose was inspiring.
Saudi Arabia is open for composites business, and the appetite for innovation is clear. The groundwork has been laid, and the momentum is building. The region is not just keeping pace with global industry developments but helping shape them.
We are already looking ahead to the JEC Forum Middle East, which will be held in Riyadh in May 2026. If the Dammam event was any indication, the future is bright for composites in the Middle East, and we are excited to play our part in that journey.
