COMPCUT, the specialist division designing and developing state-of-the-art cutting solutions powered by Sharp & Tappin, is returning for its 10th year to the Advanced Engineering show. The UK’s leading gathering of OEMs and engineering supply chain professionals will take place on the 2 – 3 November 2022 at the NEC, Birmingham. COMPCUT will be available on Stand W150 to meet attendees.

COMPCUT machines continue to exhibit advanced and innovative solutions to cutting different types of composite material. From global attention at JEC World earlier this year, COMPCUT returns with a last chance showcase for 2022 of its Advanced Composite Saws (ACS) and Precision Composite Routers (PCR). This will mark the first time the PCR has demonstrated its capabilities live in the UK.

Advanced Engineering 2022 will feature two machines running throughout the two-day event: the COMPCUT ACS 300 and the PCR 300. Visit Stand W150 to see the machines in action.

ACS machines are the flagship of COMPCUT’s cutting solutions, and the ACS 300 continues its legacy with capabilities of precise and diverse cutting within a 300 x 300 mm panel space. The smallest of its range; the machine will showcase its profound efficiency and speed at preparing highly accurate composite test specimens.

COMPCUT’s latest PCR Range features a ‘hybrid’ machining solution combining routing, milling, and grinding functions. Available as a ‘complete solution package’, the PCR machines come equipped with a comprehensive range of cutting tools and processes that expand machining capability across an array of possible composite materials. This includes Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), Ceramic and other matrix composites (CMC), as well as Thermoplastic and Aramid Fibre composites.

The exhibit will showcase the PCR 300 as a broad utility that is safe and simple to use, alongside providing fast and precise machining. COMPCUT is establishing its ACS and PCR cutting machines as the leading composite machining solutions within the growing industry, and ask for those that wish to see them in action to bring a composite material to test at Advanced Engineering 2022. The COMPCUT challenge pre-invites visitors to the event to witness a live demonstration on their own materials, to see first-hand the leading capabilities of the machines’ cut quality and accuracy.
