Fluency is on the lookout for a talented and creative Technical Content Writer to join our expanding team in Chesterfield, UK. As a Technical Content Writer at Fluency, you will play a pivotal role in crafting high-quality technical content that informs and captivates our audience within the Advanced Materials and Engineering Markets. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing, event planning, and client teams to produce content that showcases our industry expertise and establishes our thought leadership.
- Content Creation: Develop clear, concise, and engaging technical content, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, articles, and event documentation, ensuring a high level of precision and detail.
- Research: Conduct thorough research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to stay updated and maintain content accuracy.
- Audience Understanding: Comprehend the needs, pain points, and challenges of our clients’ target audience, tailoring content to effectively address these concerns.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with subject matter experts, event organizers, and technical experts to gather insights and information for content creation.
- Content Strategy: Contribute to the development of content strategies that align with our clients marketing and business objectives.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, and consistency, while adhering to brand voice and style guidelines.
- SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to enhance content discoverability and search engine rankings.
- Content Promotion: Work with the marketing team to promote content through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and event-related outlets.
- Occasionally required to attend national events and exhibitions.
- Ideally will have a bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Technical Content Writer or in a similar role.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in simplifying and conveying complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Strong research capabilities and the ability to synthesize intricate information.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and SEO tools.
- Proficiency in working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Impeccable attention to detail and artistic flair.
- Strong organisation skills and good time management
- A portfolio showcasing past work that highlights technical content writing skills (samples may be requested).
- 1-2year’s experience desirable

Package details and additional info:
Salary: £20,000 – £28,000 Depending on experience.
Reporting to: Marketing Manager
Hours and location:
This is a full-time position based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Monday – Friday 36.5 hours per week
Job Type: Full time, permanent. 3-month probationary period.
